These are the cold hard facts.
Last MRI: March 6, 2003
Next MRI: June 2003
Size of tumor: unchanged, but inactive.
Coordination: No problems
Weight: 92 lbs (42 kg), which is good.
Vision in left eye: good. Right eye remains near blind (20/400)
Next eye doctor appt: TBD
Chemo regimen: started chemotherapy in June of 1999. Final chemo treatment was May 11, 2000.
Radiation: six weeks during February and March of 2002.
Other drugs: None. Doctor approved Benadryl for occasional use to treat sleeplessness.
Hair loss: you would never know. Full head of beautiful blond hair.
Other side effects: back pain, occasional headaches, leg cramps.
Emotional: generally happy with occasional mood swings.
Restrictions: must wear glasses at all times. Can swim and play some sports (basketball yes, soccer no).
Long term outlook: good. A lifetime of MRI's and other tests is ahead.
